In a world full of choices it is difficult to decide where to spend your hard earned money when it comes to fitness. It’s a big decision to take that first step and do something that you know will be a challenge, hard work in fact, and you’ll also being paying for the pleasure! But deep down you know it will be worth it if you’re successful and achieve your goals. Let’s face it. Most of us are not comfortable with gyms and structured exercise and have no idea as to how to pick a trainer. I got lucky coming across Jeff Aker and wanted to share my good fortune so that others can succeed as I have.  

When I first approached Jeff a little over two years ago I was going to the gym a couple times a week with no set routine or goals. I wasn’t over weight but I certainly wasn’t in shape. I had just passed fifty, was a recreational tennis player who was starting to have some injuries, and recognized that I needed to try something new to limit further problems and ward off middle age spread. The gym was actually fairly intimidating to me and I had no idea where to start. Enter Jeff. 

We set on a track of loosening up and strengthening a body that spends a large part of the day sitting behind a desk and progressed from there. I have been truly amazed and excited with the results! Not only has my tennis game improved but I am stronger, fitter and look great. I have gone from a 34” waist to a 30” and have discovered my abs! I have a new found physical confidence and mental calmness and my energy levels are off the scale.  I am spending about the same amount of time in the gym but with the support of a professional like Jeff my results have been night and day.

I really think the thing that differentiates Jeff from other trainers is that he truly is a “Personal” trainer. By that I mean he is able to recognize my needs and abilities on any given day, adapt what we do as required and have me leaving my workout with a sense of accomplishment and feeling better than when I walked in. His intuition and attention to detail can be felt in every workout. The sessions truly are about you. He strives to stay informed on the leading issues in his field and has a relaxed, comfortable personality that makes every session a pleasure. Yes I said pleasure and weight training in the same breath! I never would have thought I would look forward to working out but I really do. You just can’t help but like and respect the guy. He has a true passion for what he does, it shows and it’s infectious.

 I feel and look fantastic and while a large measure is due to my efforts Jeff can take a big chunk of credit too. He has instilled in me an appreciation for exercise that will be with me forever and has hugely impacted my quality of life. I am grateful to have him as a trainer and friend. Thanks Jeff, you’re simply the best.
